Choi Min-young (Korean: 최민영) is a South Korean actor.

Choi Min-young lived in Canada for about a year when he was 8 years old, and prior to landing the lead role in a Netflix original series, he didn't speak English that well. Choi Min-young made his debut in the KBS2 drama Magic Thousand Characters in 2014. Then he appeared in many TV series such as JTBC's Strong Girl Bong-soon (2017), tvN Mr. Sunshine (2018), and JTBC's Itaewon Class (2020). In musicals, he has appeared in Bonnie & Clyde, Empress Myeongseong, LFrankenstein, and Kinky Boots. Choi Min-young also has an exclusive contract with artist management company Saram Entertainment since April 2022.

On April 5, 2022, Choi Min-yeong, along with Anthony Keyvan, Gia Kim, Sang Heon Lee, Peter Thurnwald, and Regan Aliyah were cast as series regulars while Yunjin Kim, Michael K. Lee, Théo Augier and Jocelyn Shelfo joined the cast in recurring roles on XO, Kitty.[1].

On June 26, 2023, Choi Min-young, revealed that he auditioned for the role of Dae Heon Kim after seeing an Instagram announcement for the series, and sending in his CV and self-tape. He further revealed how he “auditioned several times via Zoom”.[2]
