Jennifer Arnorld is a director, writer and producer an Emmy-nominated director who was raised a drama-geek and skateboard kid in Santa Barbara, California.[1]
General overview[]
After graduating from UCLA and University of Nairobi with a B.A. in African History, Arnold returned to UCLA for an M.F.A. in film. Her award-winning short Maid Of Honor screened at Sundance before airing on HBO/Cinemax. Arnold returned to Sundance with her internet series, The Mullet Chronicles, which was developed into the documentary American Mullet and released by Palm Pictures and Lionsgate. Arnold also co-directed the documentary Where The Girls Are for Ethan Coen and wrote a motorcross script, Speedway[2]. She attended Sundance for the third time with A Small Act, which was nominated for the Sundance Grand Jury Prize, the Best Documentary Emmy, and awarded the Adrienne Shelly Director’s Award, the NAMIC Vision Award and the Humanitas Prize. In addition, Arnold has participated in several prestigious directing and producing programs, including the Berlin Talent Campus, Berlinale Script Clinic, IFP’s No Borders and Film Independent’s Directing Lab and Fast Track Programs. Her most recent projects include the documentary portion of Glee: The 3d Concert Movie distributed by Fox, and a feature documentary about sports in East Germany for ESPN Films[3].
