Kiss and Make Up is the sixth episode of Season 2 of the Netflix series XO, Kitty and the sixteenth overall. It aired on January 16, 2025.

Synopsis[]

As Min Ho and Yuri do damage control to fix fractured relationships, a friendly face from home pays Kitty a visit- and brings life-changing information.

Plot[]

Kitty, Q, Min Ho, Yuri and Dae visit Dae’s dad in the hospital. Mr. Kim asks Min Ho to promise that he won’t let Dae take on a side job, as he wants Dae to focus on his studies. Despite Dae’s cold attitude, Min-ho agrees to the request. Kitty is feeling disheartened about her failed attempt to reconnect with her cousin Jiwon after two weeks with no response. Luckily, Peter Kavinsky is in town for a lacrosse tournament and provides some much-needed distraction.

Peter and Kitty explore the campus and gives her a stack of letters that Lara Jean found. Both of them are headed to Kitty's dorm until they run into Juliana. She says to not swing by there if both of them don't want to introduce themselves to the Ohio Weirdo.

While shopping for a present for Lara Jean they bump into Min Ho at the stationary store. Sensing the tension, Peter later suggests that Min Ho still has feelings for Kitty, though she denies it, insisting he’s happy with Stella.

Kitty reads the stack of letters that her Mom and Simon wrote to each other. The letters reveal that Eve had plans to reunite the family in Korea when Kitty was a toddler. Thrilled by this discovery, Kitty calls Yuri to share the exciting news.

Desperate to help his family out, Dae approaches Principal Lee about a T.A. position but learns that budget constraints won't allow it due to the ongoing scandal. Min Ho overhears and offers to help Dae financially, but Dae rejects the offer. Meanwhile, Mr. Moon returns to campus and announces a dinner party for his top students to discuss the future of the Moon Arts Program.

As the big race nears, Jin becomes anxious about his father’s visit. Q and Jin race each other as Jin sustains an injury. This causes Q to take over Jin's place at the track competition.

During the dinner party, Min Ho and Stella present Mr. Moon with an antique clock, leading to an emotional moment where he apologizes to Min Ho for his shortcomings as a father. He also shares his concerns about his other son, Joon Ho, who is facing challenges after getting a backup dancer pregnant. Mr. Moon announces that the end-of-semester competition will become a global reality show, offering a cash prize and a recording contract. However, the solo format forces Dae and Eunice to break up their partnership. Stella reacts strongly to the mention of one of Mr. Moon’s past reality shows and refuses to sing during karaoke at his party. Dae and Min Ho discuss about the company not paying for Mr. Kim's hospital bills. As both of them forgave each other, Min Ho will help Dae win the singing competition.

Kitty discovers a video of Stella, whose real name is Esther, auditioning for one of Mr. Moon’s old talent shows. Despite her talent, she was rejected due to her appearance, and the rejection turned her into an internet meme. Kitty suspects that Stella’s actions are fueled by a desire for revenge against Mr. Moon. When Kitty shares this information with Min Ho, he refuses to believe her, accusing her of jealousy and sabotage. He reveals that she broke his heart, leaving Kitty shocked. Despite the fallout, Peter encourages her to trust her instincts and continue protecting those she cares about.

The episode ends with Stella listening to a recording of Min Ho and Mr. Moon’s private conversation. It is revealed that she planted a recording device inside the antique clock she gifted Mr. Moon.
