Synopsis[]
On the eve of the Cherry Blossom Ball, Kitty focuses on family while following a hunch about Stella. Yuri helps Dae prepare for his performance.
Plot[]
A dream montage begins where Kitty does her homework on her bed as Min Ho enters her room. He tells her that she was right about Stella, that she's an evil mastermind. Min Ho confesses that he tries to get over Kitty, but still has feelings for her. He asks if she still feels that way, but she doesn't know if she has feelings for him, but he said that she still does and almost kissed. Stella wakes up Kitty from her dream and Kitty claims that she was dreaming about math.
Later, Kitty and Q both walked campus and discussed Kitty's sex dream about Min Ho. Since things are complicated between both her and Min Ho, Kitty assures that she doesn't have feelings for him, but is always looking out for him. They approach to Jin's prom-posal to Q which Kitty set him up. With the school dance coming up, Kitty enters to see all couples accepting their prom-posals. It feels hard for her since the semester is almost ending and she's leaving soon until she sees Min Ho standing all alone as Stella accepts his proposal to the dance. Not feeling jealous, Jiwon texts Kitty which she sets her romance aside and is more focused on reuniting her family.
Kitty meets with Jiwon at the cafe where she discusses Kitty's side of the family. She learns that Halmoni is resentful of her grandmother for leaving the country and leaving her with the responsibility of caring for their parents. Kitty showed Jiwon the letters both Simon and Eve wrote to end the feud. Together, Kitty and Jiwon brainstorm ways to help reconcile the two sisters.
The singing contest gets closer, with Mr. Moon announcing that the winner will open for Joon Ho’s summer tour. During a media training exercise in class, Dae feels pressured by Min Ho to lie about his relationship status to appeal to fans, which causes strain with Eunice. Kitty approaches Min Ho warning him and his family about Stella which he clearly denies her claim. Stella informs Min Ho that she wants to join the contest and asks him to get his father to make an exception for her. Shopping with Yuri only adds to Dae’s stress, as he becomes more anxious about competing against his girlfriend.
Later, Q makes his Filipino broth for Jin for the dance. Min Ho tells Q that Kitty is planning to meet Halmoni in the market. With her conspiracies about Stella, Q talked about her looking out for Min Ho, which he doesn't want her to. Q asks how he feels about her, but he moves on with Stella. Min Ho leaves his dorm. At the market, Min Ho rushes to help knowing that Kitty will make a fool of herself. This time, Halmoni is more receptive to Kitty and shares a painful truth: she betrayed her sister by marrying Kitty’s grandfather, who was originally betrothed to another man. When their parents disowned her sister, she left Korea. Halmoni blames herself for what happened.
On her way back, Kitty spots Stella at a cybercafe and calls Juliana, believing she can finally expose her. However, Stella misdirects Kitty, making it seem like she’s on a harmless video call with her youth church group. Kitty feels guilty and starts doubting her suspicions. In reality, Stella uses the cybercafe to listen in on conversations in Mr. Moon’s office.
That evening, the students get dressed up for prom. Dae and Eunice argue when they give conflicting answers about their relationship, while Yuri and Juliana share a moment at the drinks table. Kitty tells Q she might have been wrong about Stella, and when Min Ho arrives, she apologizes to him. The two reconcile, but their moment is interrupted by Stella’s dramatic entrance in a glamorous new look. Min Ho remembers Kitty’s warnings about Stella from her quote 'beauty is supposed to come from within' and begins piecing things together. Min Ho finally realizes the truth when Stella subtly confirms her motivations. She bluntly threatens him, revealing her plan to ruin Mr. Moon and become a star. She also warns that if he doesn’t help, she’ll expose Joon Ho’s secret and frame Kitty for the Moonleaks. To protect his family and Kitty, Min Ho reluctantly agrees to go along with her scheme. As Kitty feels jealous seeing both Stella and Min Ho, she admits she has fallen for Min Ho.
