Never say no when you really want to say yes.

—Stormy, Always and Forever, Lara Jean

Stormy was John Ambrose McClaren's grandmother and Lara Jean's friend. She dies in her sleep during the events of Always and Forever, Lara Jean and is buried on Rhode Island.

Biography[]

P.S. I Still Love You[]

Stormy is a resident at Belleview and instantly connects with Lara Jean when she begins volunteering at the retirement home. She offers Lara Jean advice about her tumultuous relationship with Peter Kavinsky, and this comes to a head when Stormy encourages Lara Jean to repair the relationship between the two despite having kissed John Ambrose. She allows Lara Jean to keep the dress she wore for the Belleview ball, citing that it belongs to her now.

Personality[]

Stormy was sassy, adventurous, and wild. Every Saturday night in her teen years was an adventure with a boyfriend. One time she was caught skinny-dipping in the lake and was brought home in a police car. While she may have grown old, she was always young at heart. When Lara Jean Covey asked if she wanted tea, she asked her to make a cocktail. After Lara Jean Covey and John Ambrose McClaren played in the snow one night at Belleview, they saw Stormy waltz into Mr. Morales’ bedroom.

Relationships[]

Lara Jean Covey[]

Upon meeting Lara Jean Covey, Stormy called her a "goody two-shoes." Stormy thought 'good' girls were boring but enjoyed Lara Jean's presence. She gave Lara Jean relationship advice, urging her to "bring the condom." Stormy told Lara Jean the stories of her teen years and wanted her to write her memoirs, which would have been called "Stormy Weather."

John Ambrose McClaren[]

John is Stormy's great-grandson.

Alicia Ito[]

Alicia Ito was Stormy's arch-nemesis. During Scrapbooking Night, Stormy told Alicia Ito to "jazz up her scrapbook more." Alicia Ito stated that she and Stormy had different styles. While Stormy, Lara Jean, and Alicia Ito were putting up USO party decorations, Alicia Ito put pictures of Japanese internment camps around a table. Stormy stated that the pictures would subtract from the party's lighthearted mood, but Alicia Ito said that the pictures would make the party's attendees aware of how the Japanese had to suffer during WWII.

Margot Covey[]

Margot Covey once volunteered at Belleview, Stormy's nursing home. Stormy felt that Margot was a "goody two-shoes", and therefore boring.
